Our Wedding

Nick and Gabby met in November 2011 at a football game at Mira Mesa High School. Gabby was attending high school in Murrieta (sadly) and had decided to spend the weekend in Mira Mesa with some friends. They decided to go to the Friday night football game. At the game, Gabby and friends were minding their own business when Gabby bumped into Nick (later to find out this meet cute was orchestrated by him) and the rest is history! Because they were long distance, their quality time was made of phone calls, texting (during class), and walks around the Mira Mesa Rec Center whenever Gabby would come down from Murrieta. It wasn't until they got their licenses 2 years into dating that visits with each other got more frequent. Nick and Gabby are privileged to say they were together all 4 years of high school. Fast forward to fall 2015, Nick and Gabby both went off to college. Still choosing to go strong, they visited each other any free chance they got even if it meant driving back to their respective cities at 4AM. In 2019, Nick graduated with a Bachelor's in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from SDSU and Gabby graduated with a Bachelor's in General Biology from Cal Poly Pomona. Post college, Nick pursued his Doctorate at a joint program between SDSU and UCSD. Gabby gained work experience and prioritized her family. Ultimately, she went back to trade school and received certification as a Surgical Technologist. Both were pursuing their separate goals while still maintaining a long distance relationship *whew* Finally, in 2022, Gabby was hired at a hospital in San Diego and lived in the same city as Nick! It only took 11 years. In 2023, Nick graduated with his Doctorate in Audiology and began working at Rady Children's. Since, Gabby and Nick have moved in together and have loved every second of this phase in life. March 22nd, 2025, Nick (FINALLY) got on one knee and proposed to Gabby at a beautiful home in Sunset Cliffs surrounded by friends and family. Since, they have decided to elope on their 14 year anniversary on 12.22.2025! It is so hard to summarize 13 years together, but through it all, Nick and Gabby have prioritized each other year after year. College aside, Nick and Gabby have also made many memories traveling and trying new activities. From skydiving in Hawaii, roadtripping the coast of California, kayaking in Lake Tahoe, Disney trips, snowstorms in the Grand Canyon, and many more they know their favorite past time is each others company. The next big adventure begins in December! They are so excited to be husband and wife and celebrate this next chapter with you all!

Dannica and Gabby went to Vista Murrieta High School and were both in the same leadership program. Gabby was a grade above Dannica so their paths did not really cross until they started working together at the Super Target in Murrieta in 2019 (literally invisible string theory). Together, they trauma bonded over making frapps and lattes for customers. Even after leaving Target, they remained close and to this day are best friends. Dannica is truly the best friend anyone could ask for. She knows how to make others feel special and always goes the extra mile for her loved ones! From enjoying broadway shows, Disney trips, Buzzfeed adventures, escape rooms, Stella Jeans ice cream, and more the memories are endless and we are honored she said yes to being MOH!

Dannica Ramirez aka Darrow

Nick and Evan have been inseparable since they were toddlers. They officially met on the baseball fields because of their older brothers and have been attached at the hip since. In elementary school, they even bonded over having speech impediments, turning what could have been a challenge into just another thing they laughed their way through together. From such a young age until high school, these two were side by side in the classroom, on the baseball field, and on countless adventures. Their friendship is a brotherhood. Nick and Evan have remained as close as ever well past high school. They love steak nights, wrestling, Padres, hikes, Star Wars, and more. Some of these memories Nick may only remember because Evan may have been chugging one too many beers. Thank you Evan for brining so much joy and humor to our lives! We love you!

Evan Vallejo

Cianna and Gabby met in 2009 when Gabby moved from San Diego to Murrieta (brb crying). Together, they trauma bonded over their time in Catholic school just trying to pass basic math, build a rollercoaster for a science project, and repent for our middle school sins on reconciliation day. One of Gabby's favorite memories with Cianna is on the 8th grade east coast trip. Gabby became so sick she could barely enjoy sight seeing and swimming at the hotel pool with her classmates. Instead of leaving her alone, Cianna made Gabby hot tea with honey, stayed in bed with her, and watched movies. She also recalls this is the trip where Cianna taught her how to use a curling iron #slay. From that day on, we knew Cianna was a real one and a sister from another mister. Cianna continuously chooses to be an amazing, selfless friend (except for the time she decided to chase her dreams and move to New York in 2023 but whatever). 

We are so excited to have Cianna, a woman who swoons with her words, perform our wedding ceremony. We know she will give a special, romantic touch to our day and we truly could not imagine anyone else doing this for us. We love you Cianna!

Cianna Sanford

Nick and Donovan met in elementary school CCD class. Donovan was a loving and caring friend who always volunteered Nick to read passages out loud because he just knew this was the best way to help with Nick's dyslexia. Since, their bond grew stronger through childhood adventures, freshmen football, and countless family dinners where Donovan's mom always made sure Nick was well fed. High school only added to the fun. Y'all remember when Donovan got caught cheating off Nick? Ya, me neither. But hey, Donovan is an engineer and Nick is a doctor so the boys did something right. Their friendship carried on through college and beyond. Now, Nick and Donovan enjoy shared meals, long afternoons detailing Donovan's car, and recently having friendly competition with health challenges. It is a friendship that has lasted decades and Nick could not imagine this day without him. We love you Donovan #goat

Donovan Childs

Mekenzie and Gabby met working at Temeku Cinemas. Gabby was seasonal and came back every summer between college and Mekenzie was a permanent employee. They truly became besties over their love for Harry Styles (imagine sweet creature playing in the background while you read this). Since, their love for movies, Taylor Swift, tattoos, live music, and all things spooky have cemented a life long friendship! We are so lucky Mekenzie and her girlfriend Meg will be joining us all the way from Oregon! We love you! 

Mekenzie Silvas

Miya and Gabby have been attached at the hip since birth. Being cousins only 2 months apart their bond has evolved into a sisterhood. There are no words to describe the countless memories and secrets these two share. From trips to the bay with Nani, Miya's quince, clubbing in PB, summer trips to SF, Miya becoming a mommy (mamacita), and more. The memories, laughter, and love are endless! Thank you Miya for being someone we can always rely on and someone who makes our lives brigher. We love you so much!

Rachel and Gabby met working at a Starbucks in Murrieta #ToBeAPartner lol. From the moment we started working together it was all laughs all the time! We truly carried that store with our shining personalities. Since Gabby left Starbucks in 2022, they have remained close friends and continue to be there for each other! Rachel is amazing for many reasons, but truly she will probably be the funniest person at the wedding and has a huge heart. Thank you Rachel for being a huge support system, we love you!

Gabby and Nick know Danielle and Denise as they are Dannica's younger and very talented sisters. There is not one task they can not accomplish and excel at #jealous. They are such kind and funny humans and we are so happy to have them join us. And yes, before you ask, they are #twins. They are also responsible for our wedding cake, will be filming our wedding on camcorders, helping with the ambiance of the wedding, and looking amazing while doing it. Don't be shy and be sure to say hi to Denise and Danielle at the wedding. Also, thank you Denise and Danielle for always going above and beyond for us with all that you do. We love you both!
